The name camera comes from the Latin words ‘camera obscura’ which means dark chamber. The first partially successful photograph was taken by Nicéphore Niépce in 1816, for which, he used a small camera that he built. George Eastman was granted a patent for the camera in 1988. His company, Kodak, became huge in the 20th century and designed the first digital camera in the 1975 and release the first DSRL camera in 1975 in a partnership with Canon. Nowadays, the majority of people solely rely on their phone camera for taking pictures.
