Did you know?
The rowing bike is not a well-known invention. It dates back to the 1870s when George W. Lee decided to use a sliding seat on a tricycle. The bike uses handlebars for the purpose of steering, braking and shifting while the feet are kept on symmetrical footrests. Unlike rowboats, the riders face forward in the rowing bike. In the 1920s, Manfred Curry made a similar kind of vehicle known as Landskiff.
